Shimmer Paint

Four Ways To Use Shimmer Paint

Stampin' Up! has some wonderful products for adding glitz to our cards and
scrapbook pages.  Shimmer Paint is a great option when you want to add a subtle yet effective glimmer to your projects.  This is a very versatile product, and can be applied in a variety of ways:

1.  Shimmer Mist- mix a few drops of shimmer paint with alcohol in a small spray bottle ( the more shimmer paint the more glimmer) then spray on your project.

2.  Faux Pearl technique:  Dab shimmer paint on cardstock, then sponge over it to get a mother of pearl effect.  Just stamp and color your image as usual, add shimmer paint, then sponge with a couple of neutral coordinating ink colors.
3.  Brayer:  Put a few dabs of shimmer paint on an empty stamp case.  Spread around with the brayer until it is covered with a thin film of paint and then roll the brayer over your cardstock.
4.  Paint Brush:  Use your paint brush to paint it onto your scrapbook pages to add highlights to specific areas.
Note that the Champagne Mist and Frost White are not as opaques as the Platinum.  Keep this in mind when you are planning your applications.
