Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop...

 Hey Hey Stampers!

I hope you are having a FABULOUS Monday!

Today I am participating in the Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop.  As always, our theme is Thank you.

Here is my card:

I used the Silly Goose stamp set for my card today.  I love this fun and whimsical set!

I decided to use some soon-to-retire colors- Pacific Point, Tahitian Tide, and Polished Pink.

I am sad to see these go....but, oh so excited for the FABULOUS new in-colors coming in May!

Now you may be wondering where I found the Tahitian Tide sheer ribbon....TA-DA!  Stampin' Blends to the rescue!

I simply used the Pool Party sheer ribbon and colored it with a Tahitian Tide Stampin' Blend marker!

Here is a close-up view:

                                    How You Can Make It:

Supplies:

Tahitian Tide card stock
Polished Pink card Stock
Pacific Point card stock
Basic White card stock
Basics Embossing Folder
Pool Party Sheer Ribbon
Stylish shapes dies
Paper snips
Silly Goose stamp set
Memento Black ink pad
Stampin Blend Markers for coloring
Gems for embellishing

Measurements

Tahitian Tide (card base) 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored 4 1/4
Basic White (liner) 4 x 5 1/4
Polished Pink (front mat) 3 3/4 x 5
Pacific Point stitched circle
Basic White stitched circle
Pacific Point for greeting mat
Basic White for greeting

Instructions:

  1. Color the Ribbon with Tahitian Tide Stampin Blend and set it aside to dry.
  2. Fold the card base on the score line and burnish it flat.
  3. Add the Basic White liner to the inside of the card.
  4. Emboss the Polished Pink layer with the embossing folder, then attach it to the card front.
  5. Die-cut the circles and tags.
  6. Stamp the focal image and the greeting using Memento Black ink.
  7. Assemble the greeting tag and add Dimensionals to the back.
  8. Color the image as desired, then assemble the focal image and add Dimensionals to the back
  9. Now it is time to add the ribbon to the card front.  I always struggled with getting the ribbon to lay nice until I tried this easy tip: Use a stapler!  I fold the ribbon in half and then used a stapler in two spots to hold the ribbon in place so it doesn't go all wonky.  The staples are easily hidden by the focal image!
  10. Add the focal image over the ribbon, then add the greeting tag.
  11. Embellish with gems of your choice.
Now please hop along and see what all my demo training program classmates have to share with you today!
