Stamp With Shel on Sunday- Merry and Bright Bundle #161951...SKETCH

 Merry and Bright Bundle #161951 found on pages 8-9 of the Mini Catalog is the focus for my card today.

Inspiration for this card came from the card on page 75 of the Annual Catalog- SKETCH

Tip:  Whenever you are feeling uninspired and feel like you have no idea what to do.....grab your catalog....use one of the cards in the catalog as inspiration.  For this card above the only thing I used was the sketch.  

I used different stamps and dies, different colors, added more layers, and different embellishments.  But if you look at the cards side by side you can see where I got my inspiration from: 




How You Can Make It:

Supplies:

Merry and Bright BundleMerry Bold and Bright 12 x 12 DSP
Basic Black card stock
Basic White card stock
Silver Foil card stock
Real Red ink pad
Garden Green ink pad
Daffodil Delight ink pad
Blueberry Bushel ink pad
Memento Black ink pad
Rhinestones
Tombow, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Card Measurements:

Card Base: Basic White: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 score 4 1/4 Mat Layer: Basic Black:5 1/4 x 4 DSP Layer: 5 1/8 x 3 7/8 Mat Layer: Basic Black 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 Focal Layer: Basic White 3 3/8 x 3 3/8 Banner: Basic Black: 4 x 7/8 Stamping Layer: Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4 Scrap Silver Foil to die-cut bulb ends

Instructions:

1. Fold the Basic White card base on the score line and burnish it flat with a bone folder.

2. Add DSP to the Basic Black mat layer using Tombow.

3. Add this mat layer centered on the front of the card using Tombow.

4. Stamp the wire for the bulbs on the Basic White focal layer using Memento Black ink. Tip: bend the photopolymer stamp to suit your needs.

5. Add focal layer to Basic Black mat layer with Tombow, then add to card front using Dimensionals.

6. Die cut the bulb ends from silver foil

7. Stamp the greeting in Real Red ink and fussy cut.

8. Stamp the bulbs - add Memento black filament wires and die-cut

9. Use a glue dot to assemble bulbs.

10. Add the greeting to the Basic Black banner and then add it to the card front with Dimensionals.

11. Dry fit the bulbs on the card front for placement. When you are happy glue them in place using Tombow.

12. Embellish with Rhinestones.
