Celebrating Sale-A-Bration with the Stampin' Hop Blog Hop- Trusty Toolbox 12x12 DSP

Today I am participating in the Stampin' Hop with my creative friends.

Our challenge this month was "Celebrating Sale-A-Bration".

Here is my card:

I chose the Trusty Toolbox 12 x 12 DSP from Sale-A-Bration for my card today.

Did you know that this paper coordinates perfectly with the Trusty Tools bundle!  Buy the bundle get the coordinating DSP for FREE!

The red and gray stripe DSP is one of the papers, and  all the tools were cut from the paper as well!

How You Can Make It:
Supplies:

Trusty Toolbox 12 x 12 DSP
Basic Gray card stock
Basic Black card stock
Basic White card stock
Pretty Peacock card stock
assorted embossing folders
Stylish Shapes Dies
Circle Punches
Memento Black ink
Paper snips
Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive
Stampin' Dimensionals

Measurements:

Card Base: Basic Gray: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 score 4 1/4
Mat Layer: DSP: 5 1/4 x 4
DSP Layer: 5 1/8 x 3 7/8
Assorted size circles (4)
Focal Circle: Basic White: 3"

Instructions

1.  Fold the card base on the score line and burnish it flat using a bone folder.
2.  Add the DSP layer to the Basic Black Mat layer with Tombow.
3.  Add the mat layer to the card front with Tombow.
4.  Punch/ die-cut all circles. Emboss the colored ones with the embossing folders of your choice.
5.  Now take a moment to dry fit your card pieces so you know where you want the placement. Once you have this figured out attach the colored circles to the card front with Tombow.
6.  Stamp a greeting on the stitched circle using Memento Black ink.  Tip: I curved my photopolymer stamp on the block to fit the curved shape of the stitched circle.
7.  Fussy cut the tools from the DSP and attach them to the focal circle.
8.  Add the focal circle to the center of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Note that I did not add any ribbon/twine/embellishment. Since this is a guy card I opted to just emboss the circles for added depth/texture/interest. If you want an embellishment, I might suggest the Classic Matte Dots in black.

Now please hop along and check out the fabulous projects from my creative friends:
